Mixed Berry Coulis Recipe
A coulis should be a staple in any culinary repertoire! A divine coulis doesn't have to be loaded with cane sugar. In fact, I like letting the natural tartness creep into the sweet satisfaction of a coulis covered dessert. This works beautifully with my Lemon Curd Squares, mixed through plain yoghurt, or swirled through fresh fruit smoothies.

Method
- Coat the bottom of pot with a little water
- Add berries and heat through, cooking until they pulp down and start to boil
- Dissolve sugar into mixture (add more sweetener if you find coulis too tart, but remember that a coulis usually accompanies other sweet treats!)
- You can make a smoother coulis by straining the mixture in a sieve, but I prefer it with a few berry chunks remaining!
- Cool, pour into mason jars and then refrigerate for up to one week
- * Coulis is not vegan if it uses honey as a sweetener, so choose an alternative if necessary.
Excellent blog! Do you have any hints for aspiring
writers? I'm hoping to start my own site soon but I'm a little lost on everything. Would you suggest starting with a free
platform like Wordpress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I'm completely overwhelmed .. Any
ideas? Cheers!
Hello, congrats on wanting to start your own blog! I recommend Wordpress or Drupal as good starting points. Good luck! x
HI lovely Renee,
I would love a healthy caramel recipe if you know of one or able to create one? It was my favorite and now I don't eat sugar I miss it like crazy! Love everything that you do. Gratitude xox
Hi Odette,
Well done on quitting sugar...not an easy task! I'm actually working on a 'caramel' recipe so stay posted. Yum! x
Could you please list all of the nutritional data for this recipe?
Hello, sorry, I do not list nutritional info for all of my recipes as it is very time-consuming and I alread put a lot of time and effort into creating the recipes (to be as healthy and nutritionally sound as possible, of course!) There are lots of websites that you can use to calclulate the exact nutritional data of different dishes that you find online. Thanks for understanding :)
