Please tell us a little about your business, yourself and how you got to where you are now in the wellness industry…
My ‘job’ is to inspired people to be the best version of themselves. To help them bust through limiting beliefs to really live the life of their dreams.
I haven’t always been on this path though. In my old life I was a professional dancer, model, actress and TV presenter. I lived a totally different life to the one I live now. I was entertaining a very toxic lifestyle full of late nights, junk food, experimenting with drugs, alcohol and burning the candle at both ends. It was only a matter of time before my body packed up and went on holidays. I ended up in hospital with a serious case of the cold sore virus. I had cold sores all over my face, in my mouth and down my throat. I couldn't eat, open my mouth or even talk. It looked like someone has taken a blow torch to my face. Along with adrenal fatigue, thyroid problems, high levels of mercury, serious PMT, depression, loads of mineral deficiencies, adult acne and eczema all over my body, I realised something wasn’t right. I then began studying holistic nutrition, meditation and yoga. These powerful tools have changed my life and lead me on this path.
What does ‘living naturally’ mean to you?
Living naturally is all about getting back to basic. Real fresh whole foods, training outdoors and living a chemical free life.
What does a typical day in the wellness world look like for you?
No two days are ever the same. But most my days start with meditation, yoga and green smoothies. Work kicks off at 9am with my first client and I will break for lunch at 1pm. Lunch is enjoyed in the sun then in the afternoon I might have more clients, meetings or work on projects. I always fit in an afternoon meditation followed by an early dinner and bed by 9:30pm.
What are your top 3 tips for staying fit and healthy?
- Eat fresh organic produce.
- Get to bed by 9:30pm.
- Meditate.
In a nutshell, what’s your food philosophy?
My food philosophy:
- I believe we should all be eating how our ancestors ate. Chemical and pesticide free so all-organic and local fruit and veg (in season) where possible. Every time I eat I give thanks to my food and where it has come from. Do you know where your food first started and how it got to your plate? I invite you to think about that.
- All organic grass fed and grass finished animal products. This is a non negotiable for me, I will not put any meat in my mouth if I don't know where it has come from.
- Wild or line caught seafood only.
- Loads of clean filtered water, herbal teas, fresh juices and smoothie, coconuts and kambucha.
- No processed foods, sugar, refined carbs, dairy, soy, gluten, trans fats, MSG and alcohol. I believe our bodies don't cope well breaking these down.
- Conscious eating. I practice and teach conscious eating. Being present whilst you eat is extremely powerful. Try it!
- I see food as medicine and not something to fill emotional voids or to do out of habit or boredom. If there is something emotionally going on I sit with it and dive into the feeling. I don't go and supress it with food.
- I choose foods that I know have been made with love and care not something that has a longer shelf life than I do.
- I subscribe to the Melissa Ambrosini diet, what do you subscribe to? Everyone is different and what works for me may not be right for you. So I invite you to tune in with your body and feel what it’s craving.
What do you do to ‘reset’ the balance button when life gets a bit hectic?

We’re all about balance around here…What’s your biggest indulgence?
